Amera Fattah Joins Michigan Local Leadership Board for the Arthritis Foundation

The Arthritis Foundation proudly announces that Amera Fattah, a Detroit-area community leader and brand strategist, has joined its Michigan Local Leadership Board. The Arthritis Foundation is the nation’s leading nonprofit organization dedicated to fighting the number one cause of disability in the U.S.—arthritis—which affects over 58 million Americans, including 2.3 million in Michigan.


The Foundation’s mission is to advance research, provide life-changing resources, and connect families to supportive communities. Through educational programming, family engagement initiatives, and fundraising events, the Arthritis Foundation empowers patients and caregivers to live life to its fullest.

Michigan residents can get involved through upcoming events, including:


  • August 13 – Juvenile Arthritis Family Day – Southeast Michigan, Blakes Orchard & Cider Mill, Armada (Details)

These programs provide opportunities for education, connection, and action, allowing families and individuals living with arthritis to access vital resources and community support.

As a member of the Michigan Local Leadership Board, Amera Fattah will help guide community outreach and strategic engagement across the state. Her work will focus on expanding awareness, strengthening partnerships, and ensuring that Michigan families have access to life-changing resources and programming.


Fattah brings extensive experience in community relations, communications, and immersive brand experience design. She currently serves as Director of Community Relations and Communications at Atlas Foundation, is an active member of her local elementary school Parent Teacher Association and is the Founder and CEO of Suite Storees™ – The Advertainment Company, where she leads initiatives that merge storytelling, branding, and public engagement.

Her commitment to advocacy and access aligns perfectly with the Foundation’s mission.


Reflecting on her new role, Fattah shared:

“While we know that mobility and capability are synonymous and not the same – at a minimum, resources should be readily available – and that is some of the work I have to do.”
