There’s something powerful about finding spaces that allow you to be both present as a parent and inspired as a creator.
As a mom of two energetic boys, I’m always looking for experiences that check multiple boxes:
✓ Keeps the kids engaged
✓ Easy logistics for parents
✓ Worth leaving the house for
✓ Inspires me creatively as both a mother and entrepreneur

This week, we spent the day exploring one of Detroit’s newest gems: Ralph C. Wilson, Jr. Centennial Park — and it officially made our Detroit Must-Do List.
First Impressions
The first thing you notice is how intentional the entire park feels. The space sits beautifully on Detroit’s waterfront with open sky views, thoughtfully designed landscapes, interactive play structures, splash areas, climbing spaces, and enough room for children to explore freely.
It doesn’t feel like a traditional playground.
It feels like an experience.
As someone who studies brand experiences and advertainment, I couldn’t help noticing how thoughtfully the environment was designed to create interaction.
(And yes… the kids approved immediately.)
Why Moms Will Love It
As parents, convenience matters.

Here’s what stood out:
Easy Parking
Parking nearby was simple, which immediately lowers the stress level when traveling with children.
Stroller Accessible
Wide walking paths make navigating easy for parents with younger children.
Family Restrooms
A major win for parents managing multiple children.
Splash Pad + Water Play
Perfect for warm Detroit summer days.
Safe Open Visibility
Parents can comfortably monitor children from multiple points.
Large Interactive Play Structures
Kids can stay occupied for hours without getting bored.
Transportation Options
One thing I appreciate about Detroit is how much more accessible the city continues becoming for families.
Getting here can be simple using:
• Personal vehicle
• Downtown parking garages
• Detroit rideshare services
• Walking access if already visiting downtown
• Family day trip from Metro Detroit suburbs
What We Loved Most
My boys immediately gravitated toward the water features and climbing structures.
I loved watching them experience freedom in a space intentionally built for exploration.
And honestly…
As a mompreneur, I’m constantly balancing work, creativity, parenting, responsibilities, and building future opportunities.
Days like this remind me why creating a lifestyle business matters.
I’m not building a business away from family.
I’m building one that allows me to experience life with them.
Why Experiences Matter
At Suite Storees, I often talk about Advertainment — the intersection of advertising, entertainment, and designed experiences.
Places like this remind me that great experiences are intentional.
And as parents…
We deserve intentional experiences too.
